You are cordially invited to attend our 10^th Annual Gala on the evening of Saturday, March 24, 2012 at the Spectacular Event Center – 395 Griffin Road in Bangor.  This unique event will be accented with a traditional Penobscot drumming performance, a live auction featuring authentic Native American crafts and a silent auction with items from local area sponsors.

All children deserve a safe place to go after school…a place that is fun…a place with trained professional staff that can be role models…a place that is affordable regardless of their financial background.

A testament to our success: For three consecutive years, the Penobscot Nation Boys & Girls Club has produced the state of Maine’s Boys & Girls Club Youth of the Year.  Being named Youth of the Year is the highest honor a Boys & Girls Club member can receive. The title recognizes outstanding contributions to a member’s family, school, community and Boys & Girls Club, as well as personal challenges and obstacles overcome.

The success of the Penobscot Nation Boys & Girls Club cannot be solely attributed to the quality of services that we offer or the inherent need for those services.  It is a testament to the heartfelt dedication and support of our champions and their belief in our mission to inspire and enable young people and their families, especially those with greatest need.

For a decade now, with the unwavering support of our sponsors, we have provided over 300 youth with free annual Club memberships, regardless of their financial background, race or gender.  From after-school homework help and illegal substance use prevention programs…to diabetes education, sports recreation and nutritious meals and snacks, we provide every Club member with access to life-changing programs, filling voids in their lives with hope and opportunity.

We call upon you…our family, our friends, our neighbors and community stakeholders…to assist us in advancing our steadfast goal to provide Boys & Girls Club members with invaluable resources that will shape their lives and prepare them for a successful future.
