2025 WIOA SUMMER YOUTH TRAINING PROGRAM

The Penobscot Nation Department of Education & Career Services is accepting applications for the 2025 Summer Youth Training Program.

Completed applications are due June 21, 2025, by 4pm. 

Eligible youth will need to be between the ages of 14 and 21, be willing to actively demonstrate the maturity necessary to carry out the duties of the assigned work site, be an enrolled member of the Penobscot Nation, and meet the program income guidelines (attached to the application).  All applications must include documentation of household income to be considered complete.

* For 2025 programming only, we have additional funding to include Penobscot Youth with

no income eligibility. All applicant must still document household income.

These specific funds are very limited, apply early!

Applicants will be accepted first come, first serve.  We encourage you to apply early!

We anticipate the start of the WIOA Summer Youth program on July 7th. Participants will be assigned to a work site (on Indian Island) for up to twenty (20) hours of training per week and will be paid minimum wage, for 4 to 5 weeks, depending on the number of applicants.

June 21st , 2025 by 4:00 p.m.
