Child Welfare / ICWA
Program Mission
Preserve and strengthen Penobscot families by preventing out-of-home placement whenever possible, maintaining family ties, reunifying families, and providing kinship/tribal permanency plans for children who cannot return home. We strive to provide Penobscot children in custody with access to culturally appropriate services that help them to grow up safe and healthy.
