The Penobscot Indian Nation Tribal Response Program (TRP) began in 2011 as an environmental program under Department of Natural Resource on Indian Island
FISHERIES
The mission of the Fisheries Program is to manage, develop and protect the Penobscot Indian Nation’s fisheries resource in a sustainable manner that protects and enhances the cultural integrity of the Tribe.
FORESTRY
The mission of the Forestry Program is to sustainably manage the forest resources of the Penobscot Nation for multiple uses.
GIS MAPPING
A Geographic Information System or GIS is a computer system that allows people to map, model, query, and analyze large quantities of data according to their location.
HUNTING PERMITS/INFORMATION
The Penobscot Nation has over 130,000 acres of remote lands available for various kinds of hunting opportunities.
WATER (NƏ̀PI) RESOURCES
The Water Resources Program staff protect the health of Penobscot citizens.
INVASIVE SPECIES OF CONCERN
Invasive species are plants, animals and insects that are “not from here” and evolved in a different environment
