The Penobscot Nation’s Department of Education & Career Services is now accepting applications for the 2023 Summer Youth Training Program. Completed applications are due June 23, 2023, by 4pm.  Applications must be returned to Carlene Miller in the Nicholas Sapiel Building, Education Department.

To be eligible to participate in this program, youth will need to be between the ages of 14 and 21, be willing to actively demonstrate the maturity necessary to carry out the duties of the assigned work site, be an enrolled member of the Penobscot Nation, and meet the program income guidelines (attached to the application).  All applications must include documentation of household income to be considered complete.

We anticipate the start of the WIOA Summer Youth program on July 10th. Participants will be assigned to a work site for up to twenty (20) hours of training per week and will be paid a weekly rate of $13.80 per hour. This program will run for 4 to 5 weeks, depending on the number of applicants.
