Beginning on July 7, contractors for Consolidated Communications will be upgrading the utility lines on Indian Island. This should not impact any current services used by Penobscot Citizens.

There will be large white utility trucks throughout the Island for several weeks and there may be flagging crews with temporary lane closures from time to time.

If there are telephone poles in your yard, workers may need to be on the property with ladders occasionally, but they’ll try to let people know and will only be on the utility easements.If anyone has questions or concerns during this work period, please call or text Chris Waite directly at 207-522-7258.
