COOLING STATION
As you know, the community is in the middle of a period of extremely high temperature days. It is important that community members stay hydrated and limit the amount of time outside during the hours of 10 am-4 pm.
If you need a temporary place to escape the heat, the Penobscot Nation will be opening a cooling station, where there will be bottled water and places to charge phones. The hours of operation and locations of the Cooling Station are:
Thursday July 2nd Open until 8pm Location- Tribal Administration Building (Tribal Council Chambers)
Friday July 3rd – 10am-8pm Location- Sockalexis Arena
Saturday July 4th- 10am-8pm Location- Sockalexis Arena
