COVID-19 bi-valent boosters
The Penobscot Nation Health Dept. is now schedule COVID-19 bi-valent boosters for the 2022-2023 Winter Season.
The bi-valent boosters contain not only the original mRNA vaccine formulas, but the addition of the B.A.4 and B.A.5 Omicron subvariants as well. Both the Moderna and Pfizer formulas are available. The Moderna booster has been authorized for adults 18+ years old, and the Pfizer formula is currently authorized for adults and pediatric patients 12+ years old.
