Dear Tribal Citizens
The Penobscot Nation Public Works Department will soon begin replacing the bridge on Vinny Norwood Road that carries traffic over the Mattamiscontis Stream. The bridge is in poor condition and needs replacement. The bridge replacement will include total replacement from embankment to embankment.
The bridge and road will be closed to traffic on both sides of the bridge from September 12, 2025, to December 10,2025 or until further notice.
