As we begin the process of submitting, reviewing, and validating tribal elver licenses to the Maine Department of Marine Resources (DMR), we want to share an important update about swipe cards.

Swipe cards will not be reissued this year. If you received a swipe card last year, you will continue to use that same card. The $35 swipe card activation fee remains the same and is still required.

If your card is lost, damaged, or if you are new to the fishery this year, you may contact the Landings Program to request a new swipe card. Please note:

• A new card cannot be issued until your license has been reviewed, validated, entered into the system, and the swipe card fee has been paid.
• Requests made before license activation will not be fulfilled.
  
  Swipe cards will not be available for in-person pickup. All cards will be mailed to the address that was submitted.
