Zoom Tai-chi Classes
Tai-chi, known as “Meditation in Motion,” is an internal Chinese martial art practiced for health benefits. It promotes serenity through gentle, flowing movements practiced in a slow, focused manner and accompanied by deep breathing.
Tai-chi is low impact and puts minimal stress on muscles and joints, making it safe for all ages and fitness levels.

This class will incorporate our native language as you will learn the names of the movements in the Penobscot language to deepen your understanding.
The class will be taught by Shiwa Noh, an Indian Island community member who has taught Tai-chi for 18 years.
Classes will be held on Wednesdays, 5:00-6:30 pm ~ starting April 6th.
