On Tuesday, April 23, 2024, at 5:00 p.m. a Public Hearing will be held at the Nicholas H. Sapiel Building regarding potential issues for the Annual General Meeting agenda. The Annual General Meeting will be held on Saturday, June 01, 2024, 9:00 a.m. at the Sockalexis Arena, Indian Island.

1. General Meeting Law Amendment – No postponement of General Meetings when a Tribal member has passed.
2. Election Law Amendment – No postponement of Tribal Elections when a Tribal member has passed unless it’s the day of the funeral.
3. Election Law Amendment – Change Land Committee members from elected to appointed.
4. Election Law Amendment Section – Nominated Candidates right to withdraw their name on the election ballot within 24 hours following the Caucus.
5. Election Law – Drug Testing – Newly Elected Candidates must complete required drug testing within 2 business days.
6. Election Law – 5.3 Recall Procedure – Clarification of language
7. Chapter 21 – General Petition Standard and Procedure Amendment – Eliminating public viewing of signatures of any petition.
