Message from the Chief

As many of you are aware, we planned to have a social this evening at the Sockalexis Arena to celebrate our community.   Sadly, another respected tribal elder has passed, Nancy Loring.  After having just lost Debbie Hallet (Ewer) last week, it continues to be a difficult year for our Tribe.  In deference to and respect for the families, we are not going to have a tribal social with drumming and dancing.  However, we will still have a community meal starting at 5:30pm at Sockalexis to honor Nancy, Debbie and all our tribal citizens that have died this year.  Our Māori friends are visiting and will join the community at this meal.

We extend our heartfelt condolences to the families and all our community.
